Hemingfords United 1, Eaton Socon 3

12th September 2015 :: Cambs FA County League Kershaw Premier

Finally Eaton put it together and claimed three vital points away at Hemingfords today. Eaton dominated the first half and were 3-0 up at half time. Man of the match Micky Banbury opened the scoring on 11 minutes and when Ryan Whittingham slammed home the second on 17 minutes Eaton were in total control. Scott Kingsbury's persistence on 29 minutes saw him chase down the Utd defender and nip the ball off him and beat the keeper from close range. Eaton worked really hard and were never really put under any sustained pressure. However on 66 minutes Utd pulled one back from a well taken free kick, but after that Eaton had numerous chances to finish the game, but poor finishing and good goalkeeping saw the score finish at 3-1.

A reasonable day with mixed results. Next Saturday is the Race night. Tickers are £5 and available from the club
