Great Shelford 2, Eaton Socon 0

26th September 2015 :: Cambs FA County League Kershaw Premier

Eaton failed to do the double over the current Cambs League Champions after losing 2-0. Great Shelford dominated the game as Eaton never really got going. Milky Wale was superb in Eaton's goal and Eaton were lucky not to go three or four down at half time, but amazingly they went in level at 0-0. They could have gone in one up but Scott Kingsbury's effort was saved by the Shelford keeper. The second half saw Shelford continue to have the lion share of the game. Finally they got their reward on 65 minutes when an Eaton attack broke down and Whitehead went clear on goal. Wale made a superb save to keep the first effort out but the ball fell kindly and the striker poked home. Eaton continued to work hard, no more so than Neil Morris who once again ran himself into the ground. But even his efforts could not stop Shelford getting a second and going on to win comfortably.
