West Wratting 1, Eaton Socon 1

6th February 2016 :: Cambs FA County League Kershaw Premier

The first team travelled back from West Wratting after earning a well derserved point at Bull Lane. On the famous Wratting slope Eaton struggled to contain Avis and Crane who gave the Eaton defence a torrid time however Eaton grew into the game and were reasonably happy going in at 0-0 at half time. Eaton were a diffrent team in the second half and somewhat against the run of play Wratting scored on the break. After an Eaton free kick was cleared Wratting hit them on the counter attack and Harrison raced clear to slot home past Wale. Eaton though showed their never say die attitude and put plenty of pressure on the Wratting goal. Wilks, Kingsbury and LGF all had great chances and when it looked as if the goal would not come, LGF swung in corner that eluded everyone including the Wratting keeper and nestled in the net. It was no more than Eaton deserved and it kept them in the top five of the Cambs Premier. A great day finished off with a hog roast at the club. big thanks to Scott K for arranging. and the lads for making it a good occasion.
