Eaton Socon 1, Biggleswade FC 4

30th July 2016 :: Friendly Matches

Out fought, out battled, out played. With some noticeable absentees (Bassett, Fox, Byatt, Brownie, and LGF) it was a big chance for those pushing for places to stake a claim. However young Biggleswade side showed what a very good side they are with a comfortable victory. Eaton looked lethargic and disorganised and never got to grips with Biggleswade's movement and slick passing. BFC scored on 25 minutes from a corner and somewhat against the run of play Wilks equalised for Eaton. However the second half was a walk in the park for BFC as they scored three goals without reply. Poor afternoon for the Eagles and a wasted opportunity for those who needed to show what they can do. Good luck to Dave Northfield and Mark Inskip for the season. Further bad news is that Joe Kokotka broke his foot. Best of luck to Joe for a speedy recovery.
