Eaton Socon 2 Fulbourn Institute 3

After losing their unbeaten record on Tuesday at Wisbech and today they surrendered their league unbeaten record to a hard working well organised Fulbourn side.. Eaton though were to blame for their downfall as three errors helped Fulbourn on their way.. on 7 minutes Andrew Wale gave the ball away to John Fear whose precise cross was met by Lindsell who shot home.. Eaton though rallied and equalised when Ben Wilks got above everyone to head home on 25 minutes .. Fulbourn came again and took the lead when soffiati blasted home a great second .. Eaton started the second half well and had a number of chances to level the game however they were caught by the sucker punch and Lindsell lobbed Wale to make it 3-1.. the game though turned on its head again when Fulbourn were reduced to 10 men when Byatt was fouled when clear through .. Bassett then reduced the deficit to make it a nervous last ten minutes but despite knocking hard at the door Eaton could not level.. a good performance by Fulbourn and a deserved win ..
The Ressies had a long journey back from March with nothing to show for a hard working performance.. March took the lead but were pegged back when Joe Cerrvino levelled .. but a disputed penalty in injury time saw March take the points .. harsh on the Ressies but they will go again and try and get it back on track next week..
The S team are in the Semi Finals of the Hunts Lower Junior Cup after a 4-3 win on penalties .. a report for this game will follow later .. a first league defeat at Eaton in over 14 months .. but still top .. but only just
